Manoj
Dixit, born in 1974 in Nagaland, brought up
in Pondicherry, is a self taught artist. His
personal style of mixed medium painting is
greatly influenced by Tribal & Folk art.
He draws inspiration from his traveling, the
country side and universal aboriginal elements
such as wall textures and tribal textures.
His symbolic, pastiche, paintines are full
of icons and images from his own, past and
his travels. These are interwoven in a unique
style that is both modern and rustic.
